Frequently Asked Questions
What type of course can I find on Eduko?
Classroom course: a course organised physically, at a specific place and time (date and hour). The specific teaching moment is called a performance.
E-learning: an online course that you can start immediately after registration. So you take this course digitally, whenever and wherever you want. You can pause the course, start it again and even watch it an unlimited number of times.
Performance: a class time when you can take a particular course, at a particular place. Note: a performance may consist of several meetings, for example spread over two afternoons.
Program: a collection of courses, consisting of multiple performances or course types (classroom, e-learning ...). For example, a program may consist of a preparatory e-learning, a classroom session and an exam.
Open course: a course found through the Eduko search page. For some courses you can only register if you meet the registration requirements, e.g. that you have first taken another course.
Closed course: a course that you cannot find through 'I'm looking for a course' because it is organised at the request of and within an organisation, for example a sports club. You need a code to register. You can find the course via 'I have a course code'.

What are my tasks in Eduko?
As LEO, you have the following main duties:
- Entering your students' study statuses
A study status can be completed, failed, absent, disenrolled with valid reason or disenrolled without valid reason. - The certificates generate from your students
- By entering the study statuses, you can generate certificates
- You can download and print these yourself
- Your students consult
- Per pupil consulting the brevet
- Review course history for each student
How do I submit an education?
You can pass training courses thanks to the application form. This form can be found on first aid web.
You can log in using your e-mail address and the code you received when you were hired as an LEO. Submit your training in a timely manner and approximately one month prior to the start of the class time at onderwijs@rodekruis.be .
We at Belgian Red Cross-Flanders create your execution of the course. We make sure that your exam time is displayed in Eduko under 'My courses to be given' and that your students are added to the lesson time. That way you can teach the lessons, take the exam and enter the study statuses afterwards.
What if I teach the basic first aid course and the advanced Helper course in the same school year?
This is not a problem. Please note that we cannot add students to the advanced Helper course until they have passed the basic first aid course. The First Aid certification is an enrollment requirement for the Helper follow-up course.
It is best to pass these courses separately, spread out over the school year.
How do students get their certification?
There are several ways students can receive their certification:
- You as LEO can generate and print them for your students.
- You will receive an email as soon as your students have completed status for a course. You can forward this mail to your student.
- If you correctly provided your students' email addresses, they will also receive an email with their certificate themselves.
- Students may be able to log into Eduko themselves, if necessary. If you have provided the email addresses, they can log in by clicking 'forgot password'. Please note: at the end of the school year, they should change their school email address to a private email address. That way, they can also access the brevet afterwards.
Where can I find my school's specific institution number?
Your school has been added in Eduko and has a number. You received this when you were appointed as LEO or can find it in your Eduko profile under 'organization'.
