Citizen volunteer

As a citizen volunteer you can temporarily deploy yourself in places where extra help is needed due to high emergency. At the moment this includes our emergency shelter in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe for refugees following the conflict in Ukraine. But also in other locations.

Something for you?

  • You are at least 16 years old.
  • You can afford to take time off at least half a day a week.

What do you get in return?

  • With your solidarity, you make a big difference because you help when it really matters!
  • You will be enrolled as a citizen volunteer at Belgian Red Cross-Flanders.
  • Belgian Red Cross-Flanders also puts you in contact with other organizations (e.g., cities and municipalities) that are in temporary and urgent need of citizen volunteers: these organization(s) commit to providing insurance for citizen volunteers who are deployed, reimbursing any expenses and generally complying with applicable regulations for the deployment of volunteers.

Convinced?
