Open course: a course found through the Eduko search page. For some courses you can only register if you meet the registration requirements, e.g. that you have first taken another course.

Closed course: a course that you cannot find through 'I'm looking for a course' because it is organised at the request of and within an organisation, for example a sports club. You need a code to register. You can find the course via 'I have a course code'.

What is employment?

A service position is an additional role you take on at a particular place in the organisation.

For example, in addition to being a volunteer participant (employment = student), you are also:

  • teacher (tenure = lecturer),
  • training planner (employment = course planner or course administrator),
  • or chairman (tenure = president).

In Eduko, a user with one or more employments will see an icon with two silhouettes in the upper right corner. By clicking on this, you can switch between the different employments. Do you have a combination of multiple roles? Then make sure you choose the correct employment before you perform an action on Eduko. Depending on the chosen employment, you will see different functions in the platform.

When are you a training planner?

Within a department or province, the discipline managers of Training, relief service and Red Cross Youth (JRK) are automatically enrolled in the e-learning "Training Planner. After completing this e-learning in Eduko, you will receive a certificate and be assigned the role of training planner by the provincial headquarters. You will receive in Eduko the employment of Training Planner. Note that this may take several days.

All ACT department heads will also be automatically enrolled in the e-learning and can retrain to Training Planner without any obligation.

Are you a volunteer with none of the above positions but still want to be a Training Planner? If so, you can be enrolled in the "Training Planner" e-learning at the intercession of the department chair by the provincial seat.

Once you complete the e-learning, this completion appears in a weekly report to the provincial headquarters. They assign the new function "Training Planner Eduko" in CRM. Overnight, all changes from CRM are transferred into Eduko. Once this is in order, you can incorporate your new function of planner into Eduko.

May I select all teachers listed in Eduko for my course?

No, an instructor or simulant should always be questioned outside of Eduko about any availability! It is also the responsibility of the training planner to verify that the instructor has the appropriate qualifications to teach a particular course. The necessary competencies to teach a course are listed in the vade mecums. Authorizations of instructors can be found in CRM.

You can check under "meetings" if a teacher is not already scheduled for the chosen time.

Are corporate training courses also reflected in Eduko?

No, corporate training is not tracked in Eduko but on the corporate training booking platform. Would you like to organize a corporate training within your Red Cross department? Then fill in this form as soon as it is clear which corporate training you will organise. Do this well in advance! The administrative team of Bedrijfsopleidingen will then follow up the further organisation with your department.

Why is the 'completed' status not available to close the course?

'Completed' status cannot be selected if 'provisional quote' is indicated in the execution settings. Change this to 'Invoicing via Adfinity' first.
