First Band-Aid Campaign officially launched!
The time has come, after more than 60 years of selling stickers, our first Plaster Action officially starts today. Until Thursday, May 4, you will once again see our volunteers popping up all over the streets: at intersections and supermarkets, in shopping streets and at local merchants.
First symbolic patch for Jan Jambon
It is Flemish Minister-President Jan Jambon who bought the symbolic first plaster this morning, kicking off the action. He did so at the local Red Cross branch in his home town of Brasschaat. Because that is of course what the action is all about: the proceeds go entirely to the operation of the local department where you buy the plaster.
"Belgian Red Cross-Flanders is there for and by everyone. Everyone is helped by them at some point at a festival or in an accident. But they can only do this with the right resources. Now we can all do our part by joining the renewed plaster campaign. Today I had the honor of buying the symbolic first plaster here in Brasschaat, with which I can support the local Brasschaat chapter." Jan Jambon, Flemish prime minister
