Frequently Asked Questions

Wat is het Donorfeest en wie mag er komen?

With the Donor Party, Belgian Red Cross-Flanders is honoring Belgian Red Cross-Flanders loyal donors. This year, we’re thanking our donors with a trip to Bobbejaanland amusement park! The party will take place on June 13 and 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Donors who donate at least three times between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026, are invited to attend, along with one additional friend or family member (of their choice). Blood, plasma, and platelet donations all count toward this requirement.

Failed and non-usable donations count, deferred or suspended donations do not count.

Have you donated fewer than three times since May 1, 2025? You still have until April 30, 2026, to reach three donations. If you can’t make it this year, we hope to see you at next year’s Donor Party!

Please note: Places for the Donor Festival are limited!

How can I register?

You can only register via the website www.rodekruis.be/donorfeest starting May 4, 2026. Registration closes on May 22, 2026. If all available tickets have already been reserved before May 22, you will be placed on a waiting list.

Why do I have to pay a reservation fee of 5 euros per ticket?

There are a limited number of spots available for the Donor Party. To prevent people from reserving tickets and not showing up, we charge a reservation fee. This way, we ensure that as many donors as possible who would like to attend are able to do so.

You pay the reservation fee of 5 euro/ticket online at the end of your registration. You pay with Bancontact. No payment = no registration.

Good news! Your reservation fee will be refunded in the form of a food and beverage voucher (Bobbie voucher) of the same value. You can use the voucher at Bobbejaanland’s restaurants, food and beverage stands, or shops to purchase a drink or snack. It cannot be redeemed at games, amusement rides, vending machines, or order kiosks. (Be sure to check the exact terms and conditions on the voucher itself.)

If you are unable to attend, you may cancel one or more tickets by May 28, and your reservation fee will be refunded within 7 business days. If the tickets are not canceled by May 28, the reservation fee will not be refunded, and the tickets will remain valid.

I am on the waiting list, now what?

If all available tickets have already been allocated by May 22, you will be placed on the waiting list. As soon as others cancel their tickets, we will distribute them among the donors on the waiting list. Tickets will be sent out starting June 1, so be sure to check your inbox and spam folder until then!

Are you on the waiting list but can no longer attend the Donor Party? Please remove yourself and/or your guest from the waiting list by May 28. To do so , you’ll need the access and verification code found in your confirmation email. Your reservation fee will then be refunded within 7 business days.

If, after June 1, it turns out that you are not on the list, you will be notified personally, and your reservation fee will, of course, be refunded.

How many tickets can I reserve?

Each donor may reserve a maximum of 2 tickets: 1 for themselves and 1 for a guest. This way, we give more donors the chance to enjoy the party with a friend or family member! Want to bring more people? You can! Starting June 1 , your admission tickets will be sent to you: These tickets include a web code that allows you to order additional tickets at the discounted rate of 22.70 euros per ticket on the Bobbejaanland website until June 13.

Please note: this web code may not be shared with third parties.

Please note: tickets are by name and therefore may not be passed on or resold.

Please note: persons smaller than 1 meter do not need a ticket.

Do I need to make reservations for persons smaller than 1 meter?

No, children under 1 meter tall do not need a ticket.

I’ve donated three times between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026, but I can’t seem to register?

Please contact donorfeest@rodekruis.be.

Where can I find my donor number?

To enroll, you will need your donor number. You will find your donor number at the bottom of every newsletter, invitation to your blood collection by mail and on the post donation donor card or through your donor portal. You can also reapply for it at bloed@rodekruis.be.

When and how will I receive my tickets?

If your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email, but it will not include your tickets. Your tickets will be sent via starting June 1. You will then receive an email with instructions. Be sure to keep a close eye on your inbox and spam folder.

I didn't get a confirmation email, now what?

If your registration is correct and you have confirmed it, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided. If you don’t receive an email, be sure to check your spam folder first. If you still can’t find it there, please send an email to donorfeest@rodekruis.be and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Can I cancel my registration or change the date?

No, you cannot change your tickets (e.g., switch days).

You can cancel one or more tickets through May 28. To do so, you’ll need the access and verification code found in your confirmation email. Your reservation fee of 5 euros per ticket will then be refunded within 7 days. After May 28, cancellations are no longer possible, and your reservation fee of 5 euros per ticket will not be refunded.

Please note: reselling tickets is strictly prohibited.

I cancelled my tickets but haven't received a refund yet?

Depending on how busy it is, your refund should take up to 7 business days. Will it take longer than 7 business days? Then send an email to donorfeest@rodekruis.be and we will be happy to help you.
