Puddle Rides
You can also donate plasma in a group!
You’ve probably heard the term “Plasmaritten” before, right? But what does it actually mean?
What is a plasma ride?
A plasma drive is an event with a minimum of two participants (donors) who drive together to the donation center to give plasma. The Red Cross chapter provides free round-trip transportation for the donors. The chapter schedules these events on days when a volunteer driver is available. Participants sign up for the ride and meet at a central location. The plasma ride departs from there so that both the donation and the round trip can proceed smoothly and comfortably.
Why participate in a plasma drive?
- Do you enjoy donating plasma as part of a group?
- Would you like us to arrange transportation and schedule your plasma donation appointment at the donor center for you?
- Do you enjoy the friendly chats with the other donors who are joining you on the plasma drive?
Please contact the following departments that are currently organizing plasma drives:
- Kern De Pinteis moving to the Ghent Donor Center
- The Wielsbeke branch is moving to the Kortrijk donor center
- The Malle Branch is moving to the Turnhout Donor Center
- The Nieuwpoort branch is moving to the Ostend donor center
- The Brasschaat branch is moving to the Edegem donor center
We look forward to seeing you soon at one of our donor centers!
