Double celebration: Suske and Wiske and Jommeke support Plaster Action 2025!

Belgian Red Cross-Flanders is tackling its Plaster Action 2025 with a first. In 2025, the iconic comic strip heroes Suske and Wiske and Jommeke will be the ambassadors of the annual Plaster Action.

Proceeds from Band-Aid Action go entirely to local chapters of Belgian Red Cross-Flanders.

Suske and Wiske and Jommeke celebrate anniversary together with Belgian Red Cross-Flanders

2025 is an important year for Suske and Wiske and Jommeke. They will celebrate their joint anniversary: next year, Jommeke will blow out 70 candles, while Suske and Wiske will celebrate their 80th birthday. A real festive year and therefore reason enough for Standaard Uitgeverij to put the comic book heroes in the limelight and make a big splash. The iconic comic strip heroes will not only be the ambassadors of the Plaster Action 2025 of Belgian Red Cross-Flanders, but for the first time in their long careers, Suske and Wiske and Jommeke will also experience a comic strip adventure together. Kristof Berte (Jommeke) wrote a dazzling scenario and Dirk Stallaert (Suske and Wiske) brings them to life in a masterly way.

The anniversary is given added significance by their support of the Plaster Action of Belgian Red Cross-Flanders!

"In order to continue helping the most vulnerable in society, our local chapters need the income from plaster sales. What about the proceeds?

All proceeds go to the operation of local Red Cross branches. With this, we invest in much-needed equipment, such as ambulances, intervention clothing, equipment for first aid training and much more.

The patches will be sold from April 24 through May 8, 2025 by volunteers from the 215 local chapters of Belgian Red Cross-Flanders.
