Intermediate Structure (IMS) Umbilical cord blood

IMS of Belgian Red Cross-Flanders is responsible for processing, preserving and issuing cord blood. This is done in cooperation with the UZ Gent cord blood bank.

When the cord blood meets all acceptance criteria, the stem cells from the cord blood are stored. These stem cells can be used in the treatments of various conditions, such as leukemia.
