Pricing and Billing Laboratory Testing

For examinations for which a third-party payer scheme applies, the legally established rates apply, cf. the NIHDI nomenclature for Clinical Biology.

Our applied NIHDI performance codes used for pricing are documented in:

These documents list in addition to the actual NIHDI performance codes a number of codes beginning with the letters BN. These BN performance codes refer to tests for which no third-party payer regulation applies.

For examinations for which no third-party payment plan is available or can be applied, we use the rates established in the price list:

 

Maintaining your account information

Efficient charging and billing requires that the administrative data of the patient (in case of main admission and Art. 33bis: INSZ number, admission status, address data), of the requesting lab are correctly mentioned on the application form.

Please also report changes in the administrative data of your lab and your charging/billing service to us proactively via dienstvoorhetbloed@rodekruis.be as much as possible. This will allow us to keep your information up to date, thus avoiding incorrect billing.
