Red Cross Vlaams-Brabant stands Together Strong for Tanzania!

In the Together Strong action, Red Cross entities join forces annually to support one of Belgian Red Cross-Flanders 's internatio-nal development projects. This year the action is dedicated to better first aid in Tanzania. Red Cross Vlaams-Brabant is also doing its bit and is helping the Tanzanian Red Cross. With this medal, Red Cross Vlaams-Brabant is showing its support for Tanza-nia!

This can Tanzania thanks to the support
Red Cross Flemish Brabant is supporting the Tanzanian Red Cross in setting up a first-aid training system so that the local population will have access to life-saving skills. In this pro-ject, the Tanzanian Red Cross is training more than 450 volunteers (and a few drivers) at first aid. In addition, with the help of some experienced volunteers from Belgian Red Cross-Flanders , a series of first aid instructors are also being trained. With the financial support of the Together Strong action, the Tanzanian Red Cross can organize training sessions and purchase materials, such as CPR dolls or first-aid books in Swahili. Thanks to these materials, Tanzanian trainers coached by RKV can in turn train new instructors. In this way, even more local volunteers will receive the necessary first aid knowledge and the Tanzanian Red Cross will be able to provide quality first aid training itself in the future.
