Red Cross provincial assembly elects presidents

-Leuven- The provincial assembly of the Red Cross Flemish Brabant elected their provincial presidents and vice presidents last Tuesday evening. For the regional presidents, there were two different votes. Because the province of Flemish Brabant consists of two different regions, there are therefore two different chairmen. For both regions it was the same outgoing candidates who stood for re-election and were re-elected with flying colors.

Rudy Pypops for Region East-Brabant and François Segers for Region West-Brabant can thus extend their mandate for another four years. All division presidents of RK Vlaams-Brabant were afterwards allowed to give their opinion on a renewed mandate of Pol Casteleyn as provincial president of Rode Kruis Vlaams-Brabant. This election also went without a hitch and Pol, together with Rudy and François, can once again work for four years to keep the Red Cross running at provincial level.

Afterwards, the meeting continued with some announcements about future operations and changes related to Red Cross training. Later, the 2017 budget of the Province of Flemish Brabant was approved by all present. The meeting ended with a reception. This was offered by Red Cross Flemish Brabant on the occasion of honoring (some retiring) deserving provincial employees from the various disciplines. We wish all new and re-elected presidents the best of luck with their renewed mandate.
