Red Cross-Limburg
The 1471 volunteers in our 35 Limburg departments, regional and provincial cadres and diciplines make up Red Cross-Limburg. The main task of the provincial headquarters is to support these departments and pass on information to the public.
We help near and far
Red Cross is the world's largest humanitarian organization. Worldwide, we operate with more than 180 national societies, 17 million active volunteers and hundreds of thousands of permanent staff.
There are about 250 local chapters in Flanders. Because of this strong anchoring throughout Flanders, our departments are very close to the population. This allows us to identify and help needs quickly.
Our volunteers help
What we do may not always be visible. But it does mean a world of difference to the people who count on us. We help in the areas of disaster relief, self-reliance and blood supply.
To do so, we rely on volunteers to the maximum extent possible. Our volunteers help in various ways and are the hub of our organization.
