Help in organizing blood collections
This is how we help
Thanks to Belgian Red Cross-Flanders , hospitals always have enough blood products. To meet the continuing need for blood, we rely on our extensive donor base. Not surprisingly, our donors are invaluable. With their good will, but especially their numerous donations, they make a difference every day!
This is how you contribute to this
As a volunteer, you are a pivotal figure in our mobile blood collections. You are only too happy to put your shoulders to the organization and promotion of these collections. And what about during the collections themselves? While the medical team takes care of the correct collection, you serve as the contact point for all donors. The good atmosphere - you take care of that!

Specifically, how do you do this?
As a volunteer:
- Warmly welcome donors to the collections.
- Provide your new donors with all the necessary information.
- Provide snacks and drinks for each donor.
- When setting up and taking down collections, roll up your sleeves.
- Know how to recruit new blood and plasma donors with ease or help inform or sensitize potential new donors.
What do you get in return as a volunteer?
- A pastime that brings a great deal of satisfaction. A good feeling, an extended circle of acquaintances.
- Experience in both practical organization, logistics and recruitment/communication.
- Insurance during all activities you perform for Belgian Red Cross-Flanders.
- A quality framework within a professional organization.
