Bridge volunteer

Would you like to give children who need a little extra support a boost? Can you spare at least 1 hour a week? Then you might be the perfect person to accompany vulnerable children at school or at home as a bridge volunteer!

We would like to introduce to you: the bridging the gap project. Vulnerable children need someone to bridge the gap between school and home. At school or in families' homes, our bridge volunteers provide extra guidance. With home tasks, but also with classroom activities. This is how we help narrow the gap.

Bridge volunteer

In close consultation with the school's bridge leader, you will help with homework, provide extra classroom support or assist with language stimulation with non-native children. We provide training and support!

Very concretely, we are currently working with 11 Dutch-speaking schools in Brussels in the center and north of Brussels (Anderlecht, Schaerbeek, Laeken, Brussels,...) . Each of these schools indicates that they could use additional volunteers.
