Nicole Vettenburg
Bio
Nicole Vettenburg holds a doctorate in criminological sciences and has been an emeritus professor since 2012.
Until 2012, she was a lecturer at the Department of Social Agogics (UGent). Between 1978 and 2002, she worked as a researcher within the Juvenile Criminology Research Group (KU Leuven).
Today she coordinates the non-profit organization Majong (Social and Youth Problems) and is the final editor of the journal Welwijs. In her research and publication work, the theme of 'education' is always central, related to the thinking frameworks on social vulnerability, general prevention and recovery-oriented work.
